About Angel Rivera-Morales

Born in 1981 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Angel developed his skills in a self-taught way. On the year of 1999, Angel was enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras Campus. From 1999 to 2006 he acquired his academic formation with artists like Rafael Rivera-Rosa, Martin Garcia-Rivera, Jaime Romano, and Susana Herrero.  At the same time Angel developed his own body of artworks and participated in numerous group shows, where his paintings began to be acquired by collectors.
In 2006 Angel obtained a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts with a mayor in Painting from the University of Puerto Rico.  Since then Angel has been developing his own language and building a strong career.  His artworks have been displayed in important Art Galleries of Puerto Rico and the United States, and his paintings today are part of several important private collections.
In 2012 Angel Rivera relocated to Orlando, Florida.  In the last years he has been working hard to establish his reputation as an artist in the Central Florida area. An example of that has been his roll as one of the organizers of the Collective Art Show “La Diaspora” that opened for the first time to the public on September 2015 at Orlando City Hall.
